As you know, Corvus Construction loves to give back to our community and we love volleyball. In fact, if you went to any of the Lake Stevens High School volleyball games in the past 4 years, you probably saw us and heard us cheering for the Vikings, loudly. But what we’ve been pretty quiet about online is that this was our 4th year proudly sponsoring the high school volleyball team as part of our Corvus in the Community program.

We’re always in awe of the amazing athletes on the Viking’s team, win or lose, but this year was an especially exciting year for them. The Vikings had an amazing season and then went on to win every playoff game as they battled into the 4A State Championship this November.

The showdown against Curtis for the 4A State Championship title was at the Yakima Valley SunDome and we were so excited to cheer them on from the stands during the games. And, we were elated to watch as they got their trophy to claim the volleyball program’s first-ever State Championship.

The team’s coach, Kyle Hoglund, went on to be named 4A Coach of the year and many of the seniors on the team were honored again after their amazing win against Curtis. All in all, it was an amazing season, and we were thrilled to be able to be there to see their big win. If you’re in the Lake Stevens area, you will want to check out the Lake Stevens Museum when it reopens this year. Rumor has it that there will be a small display dedicated the new State Champs!
