Corvus Construction Family, Friends and Clients Get Dirty Cleaning Up

Langus Park Clean Up (August 3, 2014) Corvus is committed to not only doing business in Everett and the surrounding area, but also in making a difference in the community. As part of our community commitment, each year we host a park clean up. This year, on August 3, the Corvus team, family and friends worked with more than 30 volunteers to clean up Langus Park, its walking trails and riverside area. We got dirty, but it was a great afternoon and we’re proud of the work we did to clean up this lovely park.

If you’ve never been to Langus Riverfront Park, you should check it out. This pet friendly park offers riverside trails, a walking pier and canoe and boat launches. Unfortunately, not everyone who visits this wonderful local Everett park practices the golden rule of leaving behind only footprints. When our crew came in to clean, we found trash in the green space and at the riverfront, but we put on our gloves, applied some elbow grease and made it beautiful once again.

Langus 2014 kid volunteersWe had volunteers ranging from tall to small, young, old and everything in between and together we picked up trash, cleared around and under park benches and cleared out some of the old over-grown trails that had been overtaken by blackberry vines and scotch bloom.

This was a great event – we had volunteers so young they’re not even walking yet and four legged friends that sniffed out trash for it. It was truly an event for all and everyone wore their green Corvus volunteer t-shirts with pride.

The clean up was hard work, but well worth the effort. After we radically improved the park, we celebrated our hard work with a volunteer appreciation barbecue complete with food, fun and games after the event at the park’s meeting room. We want to thank everyone who set aside time to come out and help us clean up. We are looking forward to doing this again next year and every year after.

Corvus owner Denis Vladyko says, “We appreciate our customers and our community. We always look for opportunities to give back and hosting these park clean up events is just one of the ways we show how much we care about the local Everett community. If you missed this year’s event, we look forward to seeing you next year!
